Leave a portion of the sink lip exposed to create a second ledge.
The double ledge allows you to comfortably slide our cutting boards and other accessories over each other. Utilize work surfaces while hiding the rest when not in use. You get maximum work space while keeping messes confined to the sink area.
If you opt for a double ledge, you will instruct your countertop fabricator to cut a positive reveal in the counter material. They will cut the opening of the counter slightly larger than the opening of the sink, exposing a portion of the lip of the sink, which will then become the second ledge. We recommend a 1/2" reveal on the front and back ledges and 1/4" on the left and right sides.
