All disposals will work with our sinks

We like the InSinkErator Evolution 1HP - quiet, powerful, dependable
Disposals made by the following may require an adapter:
Kenmore, Kitchen Aid, Waste King, Whirlaway and batch feed disposals (a plug in the drain turns it on)

Do you have any specific disposal recommendations?
We have had the best experience with Insinkerator's Evolution 1 HP continuous feed disposal. They are powerful, quiet, and work flawlessly with our mounting hardware.
Continuous feed vs. Batch feed disposals
Continuous feed disposals have the power initiated by either a wall switch or an air switch (in the countertop).
Batch feed disposals have the power initiated by inserting a plug in the mouth of the drain.
We generally recommend continuous feed disposals. Batch feed models leave an unsightly open hole when the plug is removed and the large plug is an eyesore and a nuisance.
