Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Create Good Sinks wants everyone to be able to browse, research and buy from creategoodsinks.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as our guide. Where practical, we also look to the newer WCAG 2.2 guidelines. We have not yet met every part of these guidelines on every page. This work is ongoing, and we are improving the site step by step.

What we are doing

  • Regular reviews. We review the site with automated testing tools and by hand, and we fix the problems we find.
  • Image descriptions. We are adding text descriptions (alt text) to product photos, drawings and other meaningful images.
  • Keyboard navigation. We are making sure menus, product options, the cart and checkout steps can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and that menus open only when you choose to open them.
  • Screen reader testing. We are testing key pages with screen readers, including product pages and the cart, so that buttons, links and cart updates are announced clearly.
  • Readable content. We are improving color contrast and adding product measurements and specifications as text, not only in images or PDFs.
  • No overlay tools. We do not use accessibility "overlay" widgets. We fix accessibility issues in the site itself.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Some product images may not yet have complete descriptions.
  • Some PDF documents, such as specification sheets and installation guides, may not be fully accessible yet. We are replacing them with versions that include text.
  • Some videos do not yet have captions or transcripts.
  • Older blog articles and pages may not yet have been reviewed.

Third-party content

Some features on our site are provided by other companies, such as customer reviews, chat, payment and checkout services, and embedded videos. We choose these services with accessibility in mind and report problems to the providers, but we do not fully control them. If any of these features gets in your way, contact us and we will help you directly, including taking your order by phone or email.
