I purchased and installed your large stainless‑steel sink in 2017, and it has been fantastic. Recently the splash guard needed to be replaced, and none of the options I found at Home Depot or on Amazon fit correctly. Thankfully, I checked your website and ordered the correct splash guard — it fits perfectly. I should have picked up a spare while I was at it. I love the sink and get compliments on it all the time.
The opening of the original splash guard sent with the sink wasn’t large enough causing very slow drainage. I contacted Create Good Sinks and explained the problem, including a video of the slow drainage. They were very accommodating and sent me a couple of different splash guards, including a pleated one. It made 100% difference! Because it has a larger opening, the sink drains quickly, even when there are lots of soap bubbles! We love our Create Good Sinks and now the splash guard.
While I appreciate how the small opening when the baffle is relaxed, significantly reduces disposal noise, on this item it is small enough that a "vapor lock" is created in the disposal chamber causing the water to back up in the sink. The water will eventually drain or, if being impatient, it will drain quickly when I push down on the baffle making the hole larger.
I ended up trimming the baffle to increase the relaxed opening size a bit, and that solved the problem. After this, the disposal noise was only increased slightly.

Hi Richard, Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. We really appreciate hearing back from customers who can help us improve our products for the future. I am going to send you an alternate style of Splash Guard which you may also find works better for drainage. If you have time we'd love to hear back from you to find out if it works better for you - Chris
The splash guard does its job very well. My only slight complaint is that food sometimes gets stuck in the pleats. But, I love my sink so much, I'm willing to live with it!
A pleated splash guard might seem like a simple and mundane product, yet like everything else in the realm of Create Good Sinks, it is a well-engineered, quality product designed to last for years.
This splash guard is definitely better than the one that came with our sink. However, it’s still not where I think it needs to be. Water flow is still somewhat restricted and the sink partially fills with water. Running the disposal helps create suction to get the water flowing. I’m hoping that over time the splash guard will loosen up and perform better. Other than this, we love the sink!!

Good afternoon Brec,
Thank you for taking time to write your review. We truly appreciate all feedback. The new splash guards can be stiff as you have noticed.
I've also had a little experience with some of the Splash Guards seeming a bit "stiff" when I first pull them out of the Drain Kit. I've had good luck massaging a little olive oil into the flaps of the splash guard to help break them in faster. Another option may be to run it through a dishwashing machine a few times. This will heat up the Splash guard and could also soften the flaps allowing for more pronounced flow.
We are happy to hear you are loving your 33" sink. Please reach out if you have any questions or feedback. Jeannie

It is fairly stiff, so it prevents items in sink accidentally falling through, which is good, but I usually have to push food waste through it. I don't know if there is a middle ground on this. probably not.
I have had one of your sinks in my kitchen for almost 3 years. My neighbors are redoing their countertops and I highly recommended they look at your products.
A couple of thoughts on the sink, which is excellent. The materials and finish are great. The seamless drain is brilliant. It surprised me how much noise and vibration from the disposer that the flexible connection eliminated. I can't remember which model it is, but it is a workstation type with the drain centered on one side. 2 things about that. the ledges are flat, so water splashes don't drain off. Maybe a bit of a slope to those? And lastly maybe a little more slope to the sink bottom toward the drain. The sink/countertop is installed level. Thanks.

Hello John,
Thank you for your detailed review. We truly appreciate all feedback.
The splash guards can start off stiff. Soaking in warm water or olive oil can soften them. They will soften in time as well. We appreciate your business since 2023.You purchased the 5LS33c-8. We will definitely pass your feedback to our owner. Reviews and feedback are what keeps small business alive. Thank you so much. Jeannie

Excellent product and experience with customer service
My kitchen sink is great, but your garbage disposal covers still need work. I appreciate you all sending me replacements. With the first two, the center sections curled up and didn't cover the hole. This redesigned cover feels much sturdier, but the opening is so small, water barely runs through it, much less food. I have to push food through it. It would be nice if the size could be standardized with the industry so we could just buy generic replacements as needed.
The pleated splash guard restricts the flow of water too much. Sink drains too slowly. I prefer the other one with the holes in it.
On another note, please make a change to the silicon pad in the ice bucket. I use it as a wash basin but the pad moves around and sometimes I lose the water. If you can make a nub or bump in the pad to anchor it into a few holes in the ice bucket drain, that would be terrific.
