Handcrafted from heavy 16-gauge stainless steel, the 5LPS27C-10 features a deeper 10-inch single basin with a 27-inch working bowl, providing added clearance for larger cookware and taller items.

I honestly thought I found my dream sink for my existing kitchen. The dimensions, function and style are perfect. Why did I give it only one star? What's the use of owning a "perfect" sink if you can't use it? I didn't buy this as an art display. I bought it for my family to bang our pots and pans on it without worrying about anything. Day 1 of normal use with this sink? Scratches all over the sink! I wouldn't have this issue even if I bought a much cheaper sink from home depot. I'm in complete disbelief! We paid a pretty penny for this gorgeous but almost useless sink. Maybe they're expecting us to switch to only plastic kitchenware?

I'm terribly sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the wear that the sink has endured. We pride ourselves on providing both a quality product and quality service and I am heartbroken to know you are upset.
Unfortunately there is no stainless steel that exists that is scratch resistant and sadly a kitchen sink is very much a utility item. It gets a lot of tough use from pots, pans, fork knives, etc and therefore any and all stainless steel kitchen sinks on the market will endure blemishing. Additionally, our company has never marketed any of our sinks to be scratch resistant.
While aesthetic blemishes do occur, the structural integrity of stainless steel is still the most physically resilient material available for a kitchen sink. This is especially the case with a sink from Create Good Sinks, as we used use virgin steel and hand weld all of our sinks, rather than using an automated press. This makes for a stronger construction and avoids comprising the gauge of the stainless steel.
